At Achmea Impact Ventures, we’re a venture studio. We back technical founders who bring strong ideas and want the right structure, support, and team to build a real startup around it. You bring the product vision. We help you turn it into a company.
What we do
Achmea Impact Ventures is a venture studio we build digital-first startups from scratch, together with founders. In the early stages, we act as temporary co-founders: hands-on where needed, stepping back as your team and confidence grow. You’re always in the lead.
That means:
- You bring a clear idea that fits within one of our focus areas
- We support you with a founder fee, staged funding, and a dedicated team of experts
- Together, we validate the problem, build the MVP, and take it to market
- If successful, we spin out the company — with you in the lead and significant equity in your pocket
What you’ll do
As the Founding CTO, you’ll:
- Validate the problem and user needs with support from our research team — data decides, not gut feeling
- Shape the product roadmap and MVP strategy
- Build the MVP — hands-on or together with our in-house developers
- Test and iterate with early users
- Hire and lead your tech team as the venture grows
- Work alongside a commercial co-founder if matched during the process
What you get
Funding from €50K up to €550K, provided in stages based on traction. No external fundraising needed.
Founder fee Paid from day one so you can go all in — no financial pressure while you build.
A team of experts Product designers, data engineers, software engineers, marketers, and researchers who jump in exactly when you need them. No fixed programme just what your venture needs.

Founder Development Individual coaching on your skills as an entrepreneur, peer learning sessions with other founders in a safe environment, and mentorship from our network — because building yourself is just as important as building the venture.
Founder equity Up to 70–80% at spin-out. You built it. You own it.

What we’re looking for
You:
- Have a clear idea, ideally with early user feedback or a prototype
- Have built and shipped digital products before
- Have a strong technical background and can lead architecture, development, and iteration
- Want to build a company — not just write code
- Have a deep understanding of the problem you’re solving — not just the technology or the trend
- Are fully committed — this is not a side project
- Are open to sparring on the commercial side and shaping the business together with us
- Are obsessed with the problem, not just the solution

- ❌ Prevention-only or single-use concepts
- ❌ Vague behavioural ideas without a clear business model
