Achmea Impact Ventures participates in Nuno to better utilize healthcare capacity
The workload in healthcare remains high, and staff shortages require structural solutions. Therefore, Achmea Impact Ventures is participating in Nuno, a new initiative of the National Healthcare Collective (Landelijk Zorgcollectief). With this collaboration, we support the further development and scaling up of the Nuno platform, which helps healthcare institutions access available healthcare capacity faster and more efficiently.
The healthcare sector is experiencing a significant shortage of hours, while at the same time, many part-time healthcare workers, students, and retirees want to contribute extra. In practice, they are often hampered by rigid schedules and complex administrative tasks. Nuno brings together supply and demand through a single digital platform, allowing healthcare professionals to flexibly work additional shifts alongside their existing contracts.
This not only increases available healthcare capacity but also gives healthcare workers more control over their work. They choose when and where they work, which contributes to job satisfaction, variety, and sustainable employability. For healthcare institutions, this means greater insight into available capacity and less reliance on external staffing.
Achmea Impact Ventures is supporting Nuno with financing, strategic guidance, and access to knowledge and networks within the healthcare sector. In the coming months, both parties will collaborate on an accelerated rollout of the Nuno app in the Netherlands.
